I'm Not Dead, I Promise

Well hello there lovers. I have been missing this space like crazy. Actually, to be completely truthful, the first few days of absence were heaven--no checking email compulsively, no social media madness; just me, the husband, our Carter Man and a whole lotta boxes.

We. Are. Moving!

I'm so excited (deep down, anyway). I had a good cry last week, but we'll get to that later. The house hunting has begun and thankfully Tom's job search began and ended rather quickly. He started his new job this week! Do you know what this means though? We are officially homeless in just a few weeks (minus the fact that we have two sets of amazing parents close to the new job.)

Enter stress. (And fun and lots of daytime adventures with the now close fam, but still a little bit of stress).

So back to my boycotting of this little blogosphere. I miss it! I had a nice break (and by break I mean working and doing Beauty Mavens things and packing up our entire life to move!), but I'm ready to be back! Except for the fact that my good computer with all of my recent photos on it is packed away in a safe box somewhere. Fail. Also, did you know that living out of bags and boxes is not the most glamorous or exciting thing? I don't know where any of my good clothes are (for some reason I have no problem finding the multitude of hole-y, ragged, as  I like to call them "painting clothes." I like to live like at any moment there could be a dire need to do some serious painting.)

So back to my good cry. One day we weren't sure when we were moving, then Tom got the job offer, made a decision really fast (since he knew he'd be happy there) and was starting the new job almost immeditately. The next time we got in the car it was packed to the brim with clothes and all of our essentials. We also started talking about painting over Carter's room. Tears, tears, unreadiness, and more tears. Although, I have to say when we went to look at the first house we're considering, it started to get fun and exciting. I really do like change so I'm excited to mix up our routine.

One of my favorite recent photos of Tom and Carter. Cleaning his messy face of at the pool.
There are some fun happenings coming up on the blog. Tomorrow, get ready for some lipstick talk with Red Apple Lipstick. I've fallen in love. Monday will grace you with a casual outfit post (let's face it, my wardrobe is casual 364 days a year).

And let's talk TV really quick. I've started watching How to Live With Your Parents (for the Rest of Your Life) on Hulu because I figured it was kind of appropriate right now. It's also hilarious. I've also been catching up on previous episodes of Tia & Tamera. Did anyone else watch their old show back in the day? I used to watch it basically every day after school. My two best friends are twins so I always felt like I fit right in with the show. haha. Well now they have a reality show on the Style Network. 'Tis a good one. The new season starts Sunday July 14th 8/7C. Get in on it.

  3. Very exciting! What town are you moving to? Still in the same area?

I hope it all goes well. Packing is no fun and I can only imagine it is harder w/ a toddler around. Good luck.
